Creating an event that truly reflects who we are is something we had been dreaming about for a long time.
For the first edition, we asked ourselves a simple question: What do I want to find in a tango marathon?
That question became the spark that ignited our project — and, thanks to all of you, the first edition turned out to be a true success, full of energy, connection, and beautiful embraces.
Strangely enough, the whole idea originally came to life in a dream — inspired by Shakespeare.
That’s how we found the name, and then the place:
VERONA — a city that embodies and tells stories of love in all its forms.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t secure a venue in the city center, so we moved just a bit further out — to San Martino Buon Albergo, a small village only a few kilometers from Verona.
And while the area around the venue might not seem romantic at first glance, the moment you step inside, you’ll be swept away by the magic of the space — a world apart from everything outside.
For this second edition, building on the success of the first, we have listened carefully to your feedback and worked to make the experience even better, introducing thoughtful improvements to enhance comfort, atmosphere, and the overall quality of the event — while keeping the same spirit that made it so special.
And that’s exactly why we need you!
We want dancers to come together in this place of love, each bringing their own passion for tango and a warm, friendly spirit.

MARATHON DETAILS
The Marathon will take place in a bright and spacious hall with a beautiful wooden floor that’s perfect for dancing. You’ll also find plenty of extra rooms — whether you need a quiet spot to get ready, a place to relax, or a cozy corner to recharge with a wide selection of italian food (also for vegetarian, vegan and celiac): snaks, vegetables, fruits and drinks (water, tea, herbal infusions, and American coffee), always available for free throughout the event.... and for those who enjoy stronger drinks, white and red wine, as well as grappa, will be offered. Please note: Full meals (lunch and dinner) are not provided, We recommend booking your meals directly with the hotel.
The venue is located in San Martino Buon Albergo, a small town just a few kilometers from Verona.
The hall itself is incredible, although the surroundings are not exactly romantic... but as soon as you step inside, you’ll forget all about what’s outside!
Free shuttle service available upon reservation (arrival and departure) from Verona’s main train station to the hotels in San Martino Buon Albergo.
PS: A large shopping mall (Le corti venete) is located near the venue, covering all kinds of needs — from supermarkets to sex shops :-D

The marathon fee includes entry to the event (Fryday to Sunday); a wide selection of delicious Italian food (also for vegans and celiacs), snacks, fruits, vegetables, and a variety of soft drinks (water, tea, herbal infusions, American coffee, white/red wine, and grappa) available for FREE throughout the marathon. Please note: FULL MEALS ARE NOT PROVIDED.

REGISTRATION RULES

We are an international marathon for globe-trotting dancers from all over the world.

To maintain a balance of dance roles as well as nationalities, in order to ensure maximum international diversity at the event, your registration may be placed on a waiting list, but you will still be considered in case of cancellations or for future editions.

Single registrations only. If travelling as a sentimental couple, please mention it in a given box and register as a couple. Both of you need to fill the registration form.
Read carefully our conditions before registering:

🌹 The marathon is a closed event. Only registered and selected dancers are authorized to join the event.

🌹 The participation fee is non-refundable. Resale of registrations is not permitted.

🌹 You cannot transfer your marathon pass to another person. Dancers who have not received a confirmation email will be denied entry to the event.

🌹 Registration is only possible through the online registration form.

🌹 You must provide your real name and a valid email address in the registration form.

🌹 After registering, you will receive an automatic reply. You will then receive a second email informing you whether:
a) you have been accepted;
b) you have been placed on the waiting list;
c) your application has not been accepted. -
🌹 The confirmation email will include the bank account details for the advance payment. Please include your full name, exactly as entered in the registration form, in the bank transfer reference.

🌹 Access to the marathon will only be guaranteed once the advance payment has been received. If the payment has not been received by August 29th, you will be moved to the waiting list.
Please note that receiving the invitation email does not guarantee participation in the event, so we kindly remind you to wait before purchasing flights and accommodation!
ACCOMMODATION
The Hotel Catullo is the only partner hotel available for the second edition. When making your reservation, please remember to mention “Romeo and Juliet Marathon” to benefit from the special rates reserved for participants.
The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the event venue.
Please note that Hotel Catullo is currently undergoing renovations of rooms and bathrooms across all floors to better accommodate guests.

Clearly state that you're booking rooms for the Romeo and Juliet Tango Marathon event, as this is the key to accessing the convention. Do not book on Booking, they won't respond.
HOTEL PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
To confirm the reservation, it is necessary to reply to the quotation and provide a credit card as a guarantee.
A 50% prepayment is required at the time of confirmation and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of cancellations, changes, or no-shows.
The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to arrival by credit card or immediate bank transfer.
Cancellation policy:
After confirmation, a 50% penalty will be applied for any changes, cancellations, or no-shows up to 30 days before arrival. After this deadline, a 100% penalty will be charged.
To ensure the best possible service, please note that meals (lunch and dinner) must be booked in advance, preferably at the time of room reservation (LUNCH: FROM 12 PM TO 2 PM - DINNER: FROM 7 PM TO 10 PM).

For this second edition, we have decided to organize a Verona tour only on Thursday afternoon, January 21st. This is an optional activity for anyone who may be interested.
Upon your arrival at Verona Porta Nuova Central Station, you can leave your luggage at a storage facility of your choice — there are several options available, which you can easily find online.
We will all meet at the shuttle point (located at the station exit, on the left-hand side) at 3:00 PM and then walk together to Piazza Bra, where an English-speaking guide will be waiting to show us the most beautiful places in Verona.
The tour will last approximately three hours.
At 6:00 PM, we will head to the hotel by shuttle.

- From Bologna Airport: Marconi Express + FS train (about 1h and 10 minutes trip - the cost price depends from the train)
DIRECTIONS
The shuttle service from Verona Porta Nuova Central Station will be exclusively to and from Hotel Catullo, and will be entirely managed by a Professional Car Rental Agency with Driver, who will take care of your transportation through a booking made with us starting November, with a small additional cost. We will create for shuttle passengers a special google form.
The chauffeur service provider is CLASS VERONA SCC. A member of our team will be waiting for you at Verona Porta Nuova Central Station to coordinate the shuttle arrangements efficiently. The meeting point is located at the station exit, on the left-hand side.
Alternatively, you can reach San Martino Buon Albergo by local train or bus from Verona Porta Nuova. The station/stop is about a 10-minute walk from the venue and 15 minute from the Hotel Catullo.
