Creating an event that truly reflects who we are is something we had been dreaming about for a long time.
The first question we asked ourselves was: What do I want to find in a tango marathon?
That question became the spark that ignited our project.
Strangely enough, the whole idea came to life in a dream — inspired by Shakespeare.
That’s how we found the name, and then the place:
VERONA — a city that embodies and tells stories of love in all its forms.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t secure a venue in the city center, so we moved just a bit further out — to San Martino Buon Albergo, a small village only a few kilometers from Verona.
And while the area around the venue might not seem romantic at first glance, the moment you step inside, you’ll be swept away by the magic of the space — a world apart from everything outside.
And that’s exactly why we need you!
We want dancers to come together in this place of love, each bringing their own passion for tango and a warm, friendly spirit.

MARATHON DETAILS
The Marathon will take place in a bright and spacious hall with a beautiful wooden floor that’s perfect for dancing. You’ll also find plenty of extra rooms — whether you need a quiet spot to get ready, a place to relax, or a cozy corner to recharge with a delicious buffet with a wide selection of italian food (also for vegetarian, vegan and celiac), snaks, vegetables, fruits and drinks (water, tea, herbal infusions, and American coffee), always available for free throughout the event.... and for those who enjoy stronger drinks, white and red wine, as well as grappa, will be offered. Please note: Full meals (lunch and dinner) are not provided, We recommend booking your meals directly with the hotel.
The venue is located in San Martino Buon Albergo, a small town just a few kilometers from Verona.
The hall itself is incredible, although the surroundings are not exactly romantic... but as soon as you step inside, you’ll forget all about what’s outside!
Free shuttle service available upon reservation (arrival and departure) from Verona’s main train station to the hotels in San Martino Buon Albergo.
PS: A large shopping mall (Le corti venete) is located near the venue, covering all kinds of needs — from supermarkets to sex shops :-D

All three are well connected to Verona Porta Nuova train station:
- From Verona Airport: VERONA AIRLINK BUS line 199 (every 15 minutes - 7 €)
- From Bergamo Airport: ORIO ALSERIO AIRLINK BUS (about 1h and 35 minutes trip - 6,40/12,10€ tickets on https://shop.fsbusitalia.com/search)
- From Bologna Airport: Marconi Express + FS train (about 1h and 10 minutes trip - the cost price depends from the train)
We’ll be offering a free shuttle service between Verona Porta Nuova train station and the hotels in San Martino Buon Albergo, based on your arrival and departure times. The service will be organized through a shared booking system CLICK HERE.
Upon your arrival at Verona Central Station you will find our shuttle every hour to take you to the hotels.
Alternatively, you can reach San Martino Buon Albergo by local train or bus from Verona Porta Nuova. The station/stop is about a 10-minute walk from the venue and 15 minute from the Hotel Catullo.

The marathon fee includes entry to the event, buffet with a wide selection of delicious Italian food (also for vegans and celiacs), snacks, fruits, vegetables, and a variety of soft drinks (water, tea, herbal infusions, American coffee, white/red wine, and grappa) available for FREE throughout the marathon. Please note: FULL MEALS ARE NOT PROVIDED.

Single registrations only. If travelling as a sentimental couple, please mention it in a given box and register as a couple. Both of you need to fill the registration form.

To maintain a balance of dance roles as well as nationalities, in order to ensure maximum international diversity at the event, your registration may be placed on a waiting list, but you will still be considered in case of cancellations or for futre editions.

Please note that receiving the invitation email does not guarantee participation in the event, so we kindly remind you to wait before purchasing flights and accommodation!
ACCOMMODATION
Here are some accommodations where you can stay. Remember to mention "Romeo and Juliet Marathon" when booking to receive the special rates reserved for participants.
We recommend staying at Hotel Catullo which is located just a few minutes’ walk from the venue.
If you're unable to book a room at Hotel Catullo in time, we highly recommend reserving at the Best Western Hotel Turismo instead. For dancers without a car, we’ll create an active group chat to coordinate transportation between the hotel and the venue. You’ll easily be able to arrange rides with other dancers or members of our staff, making it simple to get to and from the event.

To benefit from the ROMEO AND JULIET SPECIAL PRICE, room reservations must be made by September 23.

Dear tango dancers interested in the Verona tour on Sunday morning, January 25th,
After closing registrations, we found that the number of participants is not sufficient to cover the cost of the bus, parking, and city center access. This would make the individual fee too high, and we do not want you to spend that much.
For those who would still like to visit Verona, we are happy to offer an alternative: you can reach Verona City Center from San Martino Buon Albergo by public transportation and join a guided tour. We can coordinate the meeting point with the tour guides, as well as the payment and voluntary contributions.
